Swell pedals
Swell pedals
Hi again,
Does anyone have a recommendation for an organ swell pedal (UK) pls? I haven't checked prices out yet but wondered if anyone had got one they were really happy with.
Thanks Pete

Re: Swell pedals
Yamaha FC-7 is very good for being used as a swell pedal

Re: Swell pedals
Think there a few posts already on this topic. But I use a Boss FV500L. Pretty heavy, but very solid with a good pedal feel. Doesn't move around, which is important.
You need to buy a separate stereo cable though, which adds to the price.

If you like long throw pedals you may check the Crumar Long Throw pedal MJ-EXP3 (they ship to UK too)

Re: Swell pedals
I've used M-Audio EX-P Expression Pedals for years with the various Nords I've owned (and other keyboards) and for me they're an absolute steal at £14 on Amazon UK
Currently using 2 with my Stage 3 Compact - one for control; the other for swell.

Re: Swell pedals
The BOSS FV-500 L was the pedal I made best experience with. I used it more than 20 years, the line ways are a bit scratchy now, but I could still use it as expression pedal. It's heavy and solid, good on stage. The today's version has a different look, I can only hope that it is still the same quality. I now have the KORG XVP-20 which gives me a similar feeling. Keep fingers crossed that it will last as long as the BOSS. Long ago I had a cheap plastic pedal, but comparing livetime and prices, it was not worth the money.

Re: Swell pedals
Another vote for the Boss FV500L here. Its throw is not quite as long as some of the other pedals mentioned above, neither is it too short. For This Guy, it's just right.
Re: Swell pedals
Dear Hobster, can you help me with the configuration of the expression pedal m-audio ex-p in NS3 please? I got the range 88-100 or 78-100 all the time when I try different settings.Hobster wrote:I've used M-Audio EX-P Expression Pedals for years with the various Nords I've owned (and other keyboards) and for me they're an absolute steal at £14 on Amazon UK

Re: Swell pedals
You probably neeed to check and set to 0 the potentiometer on the left side of the pedal.Kalle wrote:Dear Hobster, can you help me with the configuration of the expression pedal m-audio ex-p in NS3 please?
