Output routing mode

Post by klavifon »

I use Neo Instruments Mini Vent for organ. If I set my routing to Main:L Organ:R, there is no way I can set up reverb on organ.
Is this normal or am I doing somerhing wrong?

Nobody experiences the same problem? I'll try to explain one more time. In system settings I set up global routing mode to Main:L Organ:R. I have connected my right output to the MiniVent which then runs stereo into the mixer. So organ section is run in stereo and other two sections (piano, sample) are in mono. For pianos and samples I can control the amount of reverb at the end of the chain, but not for organ. Anyone?

I have the same issue on my NE 5D, it's very strange that you can not choose what to go through the reverb section

Pretty sure when you bypass the built in Leslie sim you also bypass the Reverb for the organ.

+1, if you consider the internal signal flow of NE it is apparent that the Reverb is part of the Global ("Master") so for me it makes perfect sense that, when using the split Output routing mode, the Organ section sent to the dedicated output (Right) is "picked up" at the stage before the Global effects.

Thanks for the answer guys. I’ll have to find a different way to get a nice big fat organ reverb :)

Unfortunately yes, but this gives you more flexibility, you can decide which reverb to use (pedal, multieffect, mixer built-in...), have different settings from the one used for the other sounds of the NE6, place it pre or post Leslie... ;)

PS: it is a pity that the Vent does not include also a Reverb sim, like the (discontinued) GSI Burn does instead.

For a pretty flexible reverb pedal, I use a Zoom MS-70CDR for some mono synth and vocoder signals. It's got heaps of different preset reverbs, choruses, drives etc, all highly tweakable. Analog purists may scoff, but I like it!

Thanks for the answers! As I experienced today the same problem arises when you use a Leslie 2101 mk2 in combination with the E6. Because this Leslie model hasn't (as far as I know) any built-in reverb you have to look for an unorthodox solution if you like a "fat organ reverb". I didn't expect it but I am more informed now.
