Problems after update to 1.42!

Post by brane »

Today I updated my Stage 3 Compact to OS 1.42.

I have noticed issues with loud random “ghost” synth sounds
by pressing keys in some programs (or songs) without synth part (?!)
and much lower organ volumes in songs with organ parts.

I downgrade to 1.40 and it's OK again – so i stay by OS 1.40.

Anyone experience a similar problems with OS 1.42?

:wtf:

@brane and @blizz - maybe I'm lucky, but I haven't run into this issue with 1.42. When the Synth is off it makes no sound or plays no ghost notes (although sometimes I have the Synth section assigned to a split and forget where the split point is and accidentally play a Synth note). The Organ volume seems fine in my Programs.

Would you be able to provide a bit more detail and steps to re-create the issues and I'll give it a try on my end and report it to Clavia? For example, were you on a specific Program when the Synth ghost notes sounded, or does it happen on any Program where the Synth isn't used? For the Organ, is the lower volume on every Program with Organ or just certain Programs?

Hi @ all,

i just sent a mail to nord support. Do you also notice the inactivity of the synth section? voice stealing. I made a video with the same basic saw sound with unison 3 mode.
or only I have the problem?

Yes, same issue here, already in update 1.40 (!).
It helps when i turn both ATTACK parameters to minimum - hard left (but then the sound is not the same, of course) ...

...interesting...
That’s what i already noticed on my ns3 before this update, as a low polyphony, with empty notes.

Might that perhaps have something to do with this from the v1.42 release notes...?
"B3 organ could have too high volume level when loaded under certain circumstances. Fixed."
