I'm new member and my first contribution unfortunately is a technical problem with my Electro 5D/61 (what a nice instrument!). Have it the first week, and I'm very happy with it. Set the new Firmware v1.44 to that.
Now i bought a second manual, Fatar TP6 and a midi electronic (Doepfer MKE) that works great together. I set it to a different midi-channel, MKE midi out to midi in, set the upper OR lower part to this channel, and it runs as espected, plays the only sound, that assigned to this part, nothing complicated till here.
The problem is how the 5D behave on its own manual, and that it should have his dedicated upper OR lower ONE sound assigned to that, which it doesn't do, in principle! Tested all sorts of midi settings and his combinations (channel global, -lower, -upper, -split), set them to all possible combinations and channels incl. off. But the NE5D plays still it's layer or splitting, (edit: or nothing, if wrong or off channel) no chance to get that behavior off.
I want to have one sound on one manual, the upper on one, and the lower on the other!
Isn't that possible?
