Impressions ns3 synth section
I would like to share with you my programming experience ns3 synth section. I come from ns2 and I now find myself reprogramming Nord stage 3. My feeling is that while before I found in a short time the synth sound I was looking for, with ns3 everything became more difficult and the result is not so authentic. It is my impression?

Re: Impressions ns3 synth section
I have to disagree-
I also moved from the NS2 to NS3 and find the synth section to be much more powerful, more flexible (with the Osc Config feature, filters, filter drive, etc.) and generally better sounding than the NS2 synth engine.

In what sense? I still have no idea what he means by "authentic".ADSRLFO wrote:I'm whith macco00 .. :- )
I own some 25 synths, and they’re all pretty "authentic" — including the Stage 2 and Stage 3.

I'm with Analogika, I don't own as much synths as him (go visit his website, it's a pleasure...) but I think that any of my synth fells "Authentic"...To its own sound...To its own personality...

Re: Impressions ns3 synth section
Perhaps try to add some drive in the synth section and use the Unison. Also a tiny bit of drive in the Amp/EQ effect section and some EQ can made a big different. I can make thundering bass or screaming leads with minimal effort on a single layer.
I got a Behringer Model D (MiniMoog copy) a couple of days ago. Hands down, 3 osillators and the great replica of the Ladder filter make a difference, but with a little bit work, I can get a lot of the same on my NS3 or A1.
I have no experience with the NS2, I came from the NS Classic, but I can’t see why the NS3 can make it worse than NS2 ?
In my opinion, however, there was done a little more work in the factory programs in my old NS, compared to the new NS3.

Re: Impressions ns3 synth section
I think this is an important point, the factory programs do not do justice to the instrument, in my opinion. I deleted all of them as soon as I received my NS3. When you get into programming, that is when you really discover the power and fidelity of this machine.
