Re: Nord sample editor
What about adding a short silent sample and put it next to your single sample?

Hi Mr-G, i don't understand what you want to say.Mr_-G- wrote:What about adding a short silent sample and put it next to your single sample?
When i download a sample, he is alway launched with an octave or more, even if i try to assign only one key.
I don't know how to use this software.

Re: Nord sample editor
You cannot do that with the samples you download from Nord Library or in general with .nsmp files, because they contain the keyboard mapping andthey are not modifiable; to do what you want you need to create your own samples (.nsmp) using the Nord Sample Editor and using samples saved as .wav files.
In order to learn how to use NSE there is only the manual (and tutorial videos) in English; also in this forum we write in English so, if the language is too big a barrier, the only alternative is that you find a French user and/or member of the forum to help you directly.

Re: Nord sample editor
Thank you maxpiano for help.
What i want to do is with a wave file ans not a sample from the nord library.
The english language is not a to big barrier but i didn't have the solution.

Re: Nord sample editor
Then as Mr G said you need 2 samples (.wav):
1) your "one note" sample
2) a "mute" .wav (all 0s, silence)
then in the NSE you will assign the "mute.wav" sample to all keys except the one where you want your sample to play. Read the NSE manual to understand how to load and assign different .wav to keys and the save all as a .nsmp to load into your Nord gear.
PS: for a general overview, check also the NSE tutorial video
In any case, on the NS2 you will have to assign a zone (Hi Mid Lo) of the NS2 keyboard to the Synth that plays that .nsmp you have made and there is no way to have a zone which is just 1 note on the NS2 (if this is what you ultimately would like to do)

Re: Nord sample editor
What i really want to do is launching , for example, an introduction at the beginning of a song. For example the orchestra in the intro of One Night in Bangkok of Murray Head.
I can take this part and convert to a .wave file; then affect this file to ONE note; transfert int he NS2. Finally, launching these introduction by only one note.

Re: Nord sample editor
That can be done. And if you assign the sample to the lowest note on your keyboard, you will have the rest of the keyboard to play the other sounds.
