I hope someone can help. I have a brand new Nord Electro 6D that I purchased last week. It had OS v2.52 and I had a gig this past weekend so I didn't want to update the OS until after the gig. Today I update to OS v2.60 and it disabled the DRIVE/COMP knob under SPKR/COMP for ROTARY. This knob use to add overdrive distortion on OS v2.52 and it no longer does. I was using the D:13 B3 Lord patch and after the update it no longer has ANY distortion. It sounds nothing like the patch did under OS v2.52. Turning the DRIVE/COMP knob has very little effect now. Even all the way up the sound is still clean. This looks like it might be a bug in OS v2.60. Is anyone else experiencing this?
How do I reload OS v2.52 to get the overdrive distortion back? I desperately need it for a recording session this week! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm really kicking myself for upgrading the OS.
Thank you both for the recommendation. I was able to change the link for the v2.60 download back to v2.52 and was able to successfully download it. I applied that version and my Nord now shows v2.52 when it boots up but the DRIVE/COMP knob sill doesn't work! It seems to make the organ slightly louder but it does not distort at all. Now I'm really baffled as to what is going on.
Are either of you on v2.60 and does your DRIVE/COMP knob add distortion? My D:13 B3 Lord patch sounds like a church organ instead of John Lord. Am I the only one who has this problem?
Thanks for your responses. I really appreciate the help in figuring this out.
Do you have an expression pedal connected to the instrument? Can you check if moving it changes the behaviour?
Does the Drive/Comp setting work with any other patch?
Sorry I do not have a NE6 to try.

I don't remember having heard about a problem like this before. As you may be new to the Electro 6D, just verify with the manual (p.22/23) that you took all the other steps to get the overdrive or distortion you want. That's about the same thing as Mr_-G- suggested.
Has by any circumstance during the update routine the output setting been changed, and the organ is routed to Right only? System menu, point 6.
Sunny regards from Germany

BINGO! @Mr_-G- you are a GENIUS! The expression pedal was in the up position because it was late last night when I was testing it. As soon as I stepped on it the distortion came back to life. FIXED!!! (dumb user error)
Also @cphollis that is good advice to remove all pedals when diagnosing a problem. I will definitely remember that for next time.
I've only had the Nord Electro 6D for a week but I am loving everything about it. All of the sounds from the old keyboards I use to own are all here in one place. I did a gig with it this past weekend and everyone was impressed with how it sounded. I'm just getting back into playing. I use to play in several bands many years ago and I still have my Hammond B3 and Minimoog (which I would never sell) and also an Ensoniq EPS & SQ-80 and Polymoog keyboard that I'm now selling because the Nord Electro 6 is all that I need. I'm really impressed and inspired by the sound of it.
I sincerely thank you all for helping me diagnose this. I was freaking out because I wanted to use that distorted B3 sound on a recording this weekend and I am so glad that it's working again.
