NEW OS for STAGE 2 and STAGE 2 EX

"We are now releasing a new OS update v2.10 for our Stage 2 EX and Stage 2 models.

New updates include:

A new Dynamics (velocity) curve added, replacing the old "Normal" setting (no LED lit in Dynamics section). The new curve provides improved dynamic control when playing soft and makes the keyboard slightly "heavier". The old "Normal" curve is moved to position 1 and the old curves 1 and 2 were merged into position 2. Curve number 3 is the same as before. Important! Programs stored with the old "Normal" curve will be automatically re-stored to use the curve in position 1, the old "Normal" curve. Programs stored using old curves 1 or 2 will use the new merged curve in position 2 upon update.
Improved reliability of USB MIDI and USB sleep/resume behaviour.
Support for upcoming NSMP v2 format added.
Minor bugfixes and changes.

after long time at least a new release for the NS2 too, let's see how the new velocity curve for Piano works (even if I think there are still some bugs we identified in this forum that were not addressed)

Yeah in a way it's slightly disappointing as, apart from some minor bugfixes and compatibility with the 2EX, we "only" got the new velocity curve.
On the other hand, it was probably the most requested issue on this and other forums, and it could make a HUGE difference with the playability of the piano sounds. Can't wait to install it and try it out!

Whatever the final result, it's comforting to see that Clavia keeps listening to criticisms and suggestions, and answering to user requests (in its own way and with its own schedule, of course).

Indeed nice to see. Was a bit worried about updating but it seems the original "normal" curve will be somehow transferred to 1 also in all the user programs, so one should be safe.

Its nice that the new sample format is suported. So You can use some new nice samples from the NS 2 EX bank. Already tried. it works fine.

Oups, does that mean, that there will be some kind of new sample format? (Which might not be compatible with my NE4?)

Just installed it. Wow. Quite a difference between the new 'zero' setting and setting 1. I think those classically trained pianists out there will be happy! Pianissimo! Bravissimo!

Yes, it seems they stretched the velocity curve. I played 2 times the same piece as similar as possible and see the difference.
