Hi!
I have a Roland A500-pro connected to my Stage via MIDI. Someone else is going to play the Piano section on Slot A on the Roland. With an expression pedal connected to the Roland, is it possible to control the effects on the Stage (like I would with Morph Assign just through the midiboard)?
Thanks

Re: Use Expression pedal on MIDI keyboard to control effects
Hi, if in a patch you set the NS2 in DualKeyb mode, the Slot B will respond only to the external Keyboard (your A500-PRO) and its controls, so the Morphs assigned to the Slot B Control Pedal will respond to your A500 expression pedal, assuming you have assigned the CC #11 (= Expresssion) to it.Dipol wrote:Hi!

I believe I have assigned the CC #11 correctly, but it still doesn't work. Is there any way to test if my Korg expression pedal (which works on my Nord) actually works on the Roland?

It is possible that the Korg is not compatible. Connect the A500 to a PC/Mac and use a MIDI Monitor application to see if CC data is being sent, to double check.Dipol wrote:I believe I have assigned the CC #11 correctly, but it still doesn't work. Re: Use Expression pedal on MIDI keyboard to control effects
AS a very easy basic check to see if the Roland is sending MIDI data to the Nord in the first place, you can operate the pedal and look at the MIDI Led on the Nord. If it doesn't flash, then it means that no MIDI data is being received by the Nord in the first place.
