One key is not working

Hi,

One of the keys (f in the first octave, extremely annoying) is not sounding at all. Any ideas what to do?

Hi Per and welcome to NUF.

That key's contacts probably need cleaning, there are a few discussion on this forum and even some tutorials on YT on how to do it yourself, for example this one is for NE2 (but valid in general)



however if you don't feel comfortable with doing it yourself, take take the keyboard to official assistance (or, being out of warranty, to a good electronics service workshop in your area)

Great video!!! I almost feel as if I could repair my keyboard after watching this. I have a Stage 2 so the repair should be identical. How much do you think a shop would charge for the repair?

Not sure what a repair shop might charge, but I would guess close to $100. I have done this repair on several of my keyboards. Take your time, take a few pictures, keep track all the screws and you should not have any problems. It is a very easy repair.
