trigger sounds Electro 5 via midi from electronic drum kit?

Hello

I'm very new to this sort of keyboard - I'm just trying to work out if sounds can be triggered on my Nord Electro 5 by an electronic drum kit with midi out/in??

If so is it easy to set up??!

Hi,

I hope that it's easy like this :
- connect the drum module's midi OUT to the NE5 midi IN
- select midi channel on both
- play

And :
- this will take/allocate/dedicate one PART of the NE5 to external midi control (no more piano/pad layers for instance).
- these midi setting is stored in each program, so the PART will be allocated only when you need
- using Nord Sample Manager one can built (one layer) sample sets
- "velocity control" and "filter vel" in the NE5 sample should give enough control over the sound

Thank you! I hope I can follow this - I will try it - so effectively the drum can trigger i.e. a percussion sample that we've loaded in to the Sample Manager.. ? If so, awesome!

Here is some percussion sample I made.
I'd like to do what you intend to, got the foot triggers, but have no drum module, I miss a NordDrum2 !
