At least some DRUMS in sample library, BUT....

Post by cleito »

Still not the "DRUM" I was hoping for, but its a  start
Roland Kuit - Old Skool Drums
It's a synth drum, its good for those who want it, but I was hoping for some real drums from Nord.
Hope they do it some day

I haven't checked these out yet. I'm actually proud to be playing a board with NO drums sounds in it! :)

For me, I just need some drums for the practice to sometimes show the drummer some rhythm/swing
There is some samples here in the forum and those work fine for me
But, the Nord Sample Library should have some real drum samples too.

That's interesting :

"All the individual .WAV files and the Nord Sample Editor project file are included so you can map and edit the sounds as you wish"

Electronic drum samples libraries would be fine.....
True....also a real drum library would be great....... but without velocity layers , ......uhmmmm........ :?
and...maybe....nord keyboards users don't even think much about it.....
anyway.....a real drum set to use "on the fly"....why not?

Here is something I did :
AllKit2.nsmp
(2.98 MiB) Downloaded 968 times
I took different kits, selected / recorded some sounds and gathered them by types (hi/med/lo toms, congas, cls/opn/pdl hihats and so on ...).

New Sound Manager version 6.14

Yeah, this seems to be an interesting customer satisfaction policy.... give your clients synth drum samples which nobody asked for..... give them bass samples nobody asked for..... don't give them new Rhodes samples everybody's asking for. Keep your customers hungry!

;-)

As I've written before, there seems to be a disconnect between what forumites and what distributors - reacting to the general public - want. We want new Rhodes and a Fazioli, distributors want more drum samples. According to what Clavia has done and what Kurzweil representatives tell us.....

The next big thing will be a new upright. That's cool. But yes, I would like a new Rhodes and also a new Wurlitzer. I don't know if the original sounds like that, but i find the Wurlitzer a little "dry". I don't know how to explain it.
