HI everyone.
As I used a lot of samples from this forum , I finally decided to start to upload something
I always had the problem of a usefull brass sound.....the ones from nord wasn't so good for a live use....maybe for the studio...
This NSMP I think is the resoult of what a forum is for.....
The sounds comes from Hanon , is SFZ brass and MARIACHI brass
The idea to layer those two sounds is from Spike , this creates a good brass sound!! ( I layered my way....but is not my idea....)
I wanted to use this brass sound with the possibility to use another synth....so I sampled the two brass slots into one , to have a full brass sound from just one slot.
Hope Hanon and Spike don't mind about their name in this sound.....but IMHO that's the name it has to be.....
Hope you enjoy
Fab
I just saw this thread yesterday. I'm the guy (Spike) who suggested layering these two brass samples together. I think Fab's new mixed sample is awesome. I've already inserted it into several of my programs, where I can layer on other samples. I still can't get my holy grail of a brass sound (think Motif or Triton) out of a NS2, but we're getting closer. I know that because the guys in my band have stopped giving me grief for selling my Korg Karma.

My first post. I've just got in to loading stuff on to the NS2 and I love this sound.
Is there a way to make the patch do the brass fall at the end of the MP3?
Many thanks
John

@ Spike
Glad you like this (your too:-) brass sound
It works great with big string sound , to have a full bread and butter sound to play themes.
With a factory sound (XXL STRINGS)I did the same thing I did on brass......put two slots in one to free slots and have a full sound
I'll post soon in this section
@John
glad you like the sound
.... the falls you here at the end of MP£ , is something I played live.... you can sample from MP3 and use it

How do you take the MP3 file in this thread and turn it into a Nord Sample File? OK, I'm not completely in the dark. I know I've got to use the Sample Editor and I've read the manual for that package. But the example in the manual works from individual MP3 files for a dozen or so notes. So if I'm starting from the MP3 file in this thread, I assume I would have to use an editor to break apart the individual notes. Once I've figured out the notes, I can load them into the Sample Editor. What happens then? Does the Sample editor "fill in the blanks" for the notes I don't have?
Am I close?

You download the .nsmp file and use the Sound Manager to copy it to your instrument. Then create a program that uses the sample.
