How to get the MP3-Player:
Upload a MP3 file where you play some notes using your sample.
Click the "PLACE INLINE" button after uploading the MP3 sample in order to automatically create a Flash MP3 player in your post!

Thanks for the response.
Sadly I couldn't find any bagpipes on SC sounds although I notes that someone else also said they had one. Going blind I guess.
I might try to program one again and do a better job on the tricky overtones and vibrato.
There's also that distinctive percussive sound at the beginning of each note that makes it unique.
I'll keep trying

What about the samples that other users have uploaded on the same thread? Have you tried them and were not suitable for you?
User samples most times do not sound so good as they are, but with some eq and effects you can make them usable. You could also try to layer a bagpipe sample with a subtle organ sound that would add some harmonics, by changing the drawbar settings and the distortion amount maybe you could get a sound you like.

Here's the one that I use. I'm not sure that I remember where it came from so I can't give it the proper credit it deserves.
It's good for solos and distant parades, depending on how you treat it with effects.
