Useful general purpose strings for pads and lead lines. Importantly a second octave fades in under the upper notes. The volume also is much louder in the upper octaves.
This means lead strings lines will come through nice and loud, while the pads under chords are still subtle and quiet.
I've tried this lots of times live under a piano (Black Upright) and it seems to work fairly well. When I need to do a lead line I just turn the PART MIX knob over to the strings part completely.
Enjoy!
