EDIT : This instrument has been created using my Roland RD300sx, Audacity and Nord Sample Editor. Credits & thanks go to them.
My main intention by sharing this is that we could learn from each other the techniques we use to make our personal instruments.
I just made a StringPad, I haven't tried it yet (do not have my Nord with me now, just the computer).
I'll do the mp3 when I can try the sound, except if someone tries it before me ... !
The sound comes from a Roland RD
Samples are looped.
The sound has these settings, I would like to know if it has some effects on a NS2 :
stringpad settings

It does not sound at all like a pad ...
I do not understand / hear the effects of the above settings on the NS2
I need help to do better loops !!
Perhaps one should use longer samples for pads too ...
here is a mp3 to hear it :
Hello frantzkb,
I wouldn't call it a disaster.
I agree that the loop points need work, the original samples might not be long enough, and you could have gotten by with sampling every 6th note.
If you could find a way to send me the original wave files and your NSE project file that was used to make this sample, I'd take a look at it and make some recommendations.
Here is a different demo made using your original sample with my NE3.

I'll do that ... right now.
EDIT : you have a MP
I agree!
I think that it's awesome that musicians from all over the world can get together here and interact.
Extra thanks to Johannes for making this possible, and to Clavia Nord for making instruments and software that inspire such collaboration.
You now have a PM also.
Cheers, Hanon
