In the late 70's/80's, I was using a Yamaha CP30 and would detune the left and right sides just a bit in opposite directions and it sounded perfect
Does anyone have any suggestions for getting that "slightly out of tune" honky tonk sound?

I layered two different grand piano sounds together, both with different types of chorus at different rates and speeds. One piano is +1 octave higher and mixed lower in volume, plus I used generous treble EQ to get that tack sound that is good for this.
If you download my sound, you'll probably just need to replace the pianos with whatever you have in you NS2 (I used Grand Imperial and Silver Grand samples).

Erm...ok, I will see if that produces the complex cooking of the same caliber as two different chorus effectsMr_-G- wrote:Erm... in the NS2 there is a "slot detune" button in the piano section, that makes the perfect honky tonk. No need to fiddle with chorus effects
