Piano 3 library downloads

Post by Guitarist »

I've got me a used piano 3, I did a factory reset using an old Mac OS, High Seirra, this took a long time to complete, hours.

1st question} Is this normal? taking hours?
I am looking to fill this P3 with all the piano sounds it will take from Nord library.

Question #2) Which Versions are best for P3? There is size differences to choose from? Not sure which to choose.
I humbly ask you Nord Professionals for any assistance you may provide in downloading piano patches (sounds/voices) to use/demo into this keyboard. Any knowledge offered is truly respected & apprieciated.

I have worked along side these lil' red beauty's many times as guitarist/bassist. Never owed one myself. Using the P3 in a working Jazz Trio I play bass in.
Nord P3, 20ft unbalanced 1/4" cables into new QSC 8.2, or 1/4" cables into mixer using QSC as stage monitors.
Thankyou

Hi and welcome to the forum
It's normal. The Nord memory isn't fast reading flash-memory, so you'll need patience and coffee when resetting the whole memory.
The XL versions is always best, but the L versions really do the job as well. A couple of grands + some uprights and the electric pianos will all fit in the 1GB of memory.
