Which TP40 version (keyweight) is in the different Nords?
Hi!
Anyone knows which of the four (L, M, H, GH) key weight versions of the TP40 is in the NP3 and the NS3 88?
I'm currently on the NP3 which I find too heavy for me, so thinking of going to the NS3 instead, but would be interesting to know exactly what versions of the TP40 that are in the two! I would like an action that is as light as possible, but still hammer mechanism.
Thanks,

I don't think the info is public, however NS3 is probably using the L version and NP3 at least M (if not H) and with triple sensor; best thing is to go and try it (or them both, side by side) to see if it matches your playing style.

I think the NS3 does not have triple sensor. The NP3/4 do.maxpiano wrote:I don't think the info is public, however NS3 is probably using the L version and NP3 at least M (if not H) and with triple sensor

That's what I meant/wrote, maybe not in my best English "(...) and NP3 at least M (if not H) and with triple sensor" (referred to NP3)Mr_-G- wrote:I think the NS3 does not have triple sensor. It's probably the M version. I don't think there's been any indication that they changed it from the NS2 to the NS3, and I've seen references to the NS2 being the M... which also might not be definitive... but the NS2 TP40 I played definitely felt heavier than the L version that I know was in a Kurzweil I played around the same time.maxpiano wrote:I don't think the info is public, however NS3 is probably using the L version

You are probably right anotherscott, even if the Kurz claims to have a "fast return spring " (at least on the PC3K8) which may alter the feeling and the difference between L and M is only 10g, according to Fatar websiteanotherscott wrote:It's probably the M version. Re: Which TP40 version (keyweight) is in the different Nords
Does anyone know if the "ES" escapement kit specified on the Fatar website as an optional extra can be separately ordered and added to the keyboard?

Re: Which TP40 version (keyweight) is in the different Nords
I don't think they do, ES it is more an option that has to be specified when you (or better the OEM, since Fatar doesn't sell to private users anyway) order the whole keybed.Scorps wrote:Does anyone know if the "ES" escapement kit specified on the Fatar website as an optional extra can be separately ordered and added to the keyboard?
