Help With Electro 2 Issues

Postby rlpool06 » 07 Dec 2011, 22:28

I'm having a couple issues with my electro 2 that I can't explain.

The first one is my sustain input. About 4 months ago in a rehearsal it decided to switch from acting as a sustain for the organ to being a rotary switch for the leslie. It still acts as a sustain for the for the piano and rhodes, just not the organ.

The other issue is the drawbars for the organ. It sounds as if the drawbars have shifted over by 3 or 4 frequencies. I can have all the drawbars pulled out and it sounds as if only the lower settings are pulled. This started about 6 weeks ago. I bought this keyboard used about 2 years ago and have been gigging with it consistently. It's been a great keyboard with no problems until now and I can't figure out what might be causing these issues.

If anyone can help, please do!

Hello rlpool06,
welcome to the forums!
please check the sustain pedal configuration by pressing Shift+Program8
It seems like it's probably set for "Pt" whereas you probably want it set for PS.
You can use the Up/Down Navigator buttons to change it, then exit by pressing any button other than Shift.

As for the drawbar frequencies,
please confirm that the Octave Shift LEDs are lit only in the middle.
Also check the Transpose function by pressing Shift+Program6, the display should read 0.

Cheers, Hanon
