The sounds are the same you can download to all Nord Pianos (1, 2 and 3) -- as well as to many other Nord boards, including all recent Electro and Stage models.
But the DAC (the Digital to Analog Converter) is the chip (and here the rest of the circuitry that goes with it) that translates all the digital streams to an analog signal, which is sent to your spearkers/headphones.
Usually, never devices have slightly better hardware. A better DAC means a bit more clarity etc. There may also be other changes that can impact the sound; more resources for resampling or scaling sounds can e.g. improve the quality too.
With good amplification and a trained ear, you may be able to hear the difference.
