Hello. I like to use the Korg Lambda strings with a bit of tweaking as my primary string to layer with the piano. What I have found is that they are balanced quite a bit to the left hand side. Is there any way to edit these strings so they are more centred?
Thanks
Huw

Re: Synth section Lambda strings
If you use a software like Audacity (free) you can record your stereo samples and have the left and right part showing. Then you can increase the volume of the right part only.
You can also copy the left part to the right part but then you'll have exactly the same sound for each side.
You can use some effect, overall or per side to help avoiding that sensation.
You can also layer your sample with other samples,...
Those are the first things that come in my mind. More to come from other members for sure.

Re: Synth section Lambda strings
Since you cannot edit the .nsmp files once "compiled" so your only option is to resample them, modify using a wave editor such as Audacity as suggested by LudovicVDP, then create a new .nsmp using the Nord Sample Editor with your edited .wav files.
As a simple alternative, if panning is the only issue, you may apply the Autopan effect to the Synth, setting it at 0 Rate, which makes it work as fixed Pan effect controlled by the Amount (at least it does on my NS2, not sure about Nord Pianos but I assume it is the same)

Re: Synth section Lambda strings
Many thanks for your helpful replies. I tried downloading from the sample library again, v3 but they're not suitable for the NP3! I tried panning but it had little affect. I don't think it's the same as the NS2. I'll soldier on!! Too much hassle to do all the sampling again!
