Next Grand????
Ok - another upright on the Nord site tonight. And it sounds great. But when will we see the next grand sample????
I'm good with the uprights. The improvements over earlier samples suggest when they release their next grand it's going to be a killer. When will we hear it??? C'mon Nord - we're counting on you!

Re: Next Grand????
+1
Make it a very very well tuned, warm, and highly dynamic grand with substance over the entire range.
And let it have a real, long sustain - still the Achilles' heel of all digital pianos.

Re: Next Grand????
They can come over to my studio and sample my piano at any time....in fact I just had it tuned and some voicing done.
Just give me a complimentary NP3.

+ a more realistic emulation of sympathetic stringresonances, because the implemented emulation does only work when a key
is held down (strings of the key are undamped) and afterwards any "sympathetic" keys are stroken.
On a real piano however currently ringing tones can influence following tones as well.
A very subtle issue and certainly nothing what could be missed on a stage. In a quiet environment however a further step to more naturalness.

Re: Next Grand????
9 months since I posted this question - Nord can obviously choose to do whatever it wants whenever it wants to. But man would I love to hear some new grands
As a sidenote, I went to a bluegrass festival this weekend and any band that had keys was using a Nord - usually a Stage for the combo of pianos and Hammonds. Absolutely delicious sounds. Now let’s have some more please Nord!!

Re: Next Grand????
Amen to any new Steinway XL sample. I'd love to have a Steinway D XL, perhaps a Steinway model M or O, or maybe even a Ravenscroft 275 Nord sample. ...Or all of the above. I was hoping to see a new Nord grand piano sample around July. It seemed like in previous years Nord released a piano sample sometime in the summer, and then another around Christmas. Anyhow, I love my Nord synths and am happy to receive any new piano samples whenever they release them.
But I am getting rather hungry for an XL Steinway sample of some kind.
ps: I do remember a while back that on Nord's own website, they had mentioned that a 'close mic'd' version of the Royal Grand was coming later that winter, but it never materialized yet. I'd be interested in that one as well.
