I recently purchased a used NORD 3 and found that one black key is not working but only in PIANO mode! It works in ORGAN mode so I don't think it is the contacts. Any ideas?

It IS one of the contacts: There are two for each key, and the organ only uses one of them whereas the piano uses both to determine how quickly you hit the key. So when only the upper contact works, the organ will sound but not the piano.

I am not familiar with the repair procedure, but it could be that you can clean the internals and get it back to fully working stage again. If you search around a little here, you should be able to find descriptions of how others have dealt with the same problem -- which appears to be a known issue with some well-used units.
