Forgive my ignorance on this but when setting up my NS2 EX to play live, what are the ideal volume levels on the main volume and the various piano/organ/synth settings (ignoring any mixing needed when playing multiple sounds together).
I've just gone with 12 o'clock as a default assuming that whatever amplification is in use will take the strain but I've read recently that the line level outputs can be rather low.
Should I be cranking it up?
Thanks

Re: Stupid question about volume levels when DI into FOH PA
Usually, on keys, the unity gain at 0db is at full volume....It doesn't matter if your signal is too high via a DI because it's going to be carried at a low impedance to the front PA and the sound check guy will adjust the preamp section with his gain kmob....If you have a mixer between your keys and the front PA, just set your different volumes so that at anytime, you have an average level at 0db as well...
