RE: main keyboard
I sold my Piano 3 and A1 and have a Stage 3 88 on order. I considered a studiologic SL88 MIDI controller, which has graded hammer action, but the only reason I got rid of the Piano 3 was its relatively limited memory, it really needed double what it had. I am hoping that the keybed in the Stage 3 88 feels similar. I'm one of those who actively disliked the A1 keybed. Mine would sometimes drop note presses when I was playing all black keys.

Why not take another brand for the synth? I would always want to play two different boards, as it expands my setup soundwhise.DJKeys wrote:My next setup will be the NS3 with the A1. Easy programming, great sound, light weight. Since the A1 was derived from the NS2 synth, I will have 6 slots of synth, which will fill my needs perfectly.

Okay, so, um, I just got the news that my Stage 3 compact has arrived at my dealer's. I won't be able to pick it up until next week.
Can't say my excitement is "waning".

All indications point to the US shipment arriving in October.

I have been using the Prophet 6 for a while now. Used the Virus before that. I just really like the sound of the A1, and it is multi timbral unlike the Prophet. Also, it is small and weighs very little. Size and weight are very important for an older gigging musician.Duplobaustein wrote:Why not take another brand for the synth? I also think I may need a Korg SV-1.

Re: Stage 3 Excitement waning? Is it Disappointment?
Like I've said before, I love the Stage 3 but if you can find a 2EX Compact or even a 2 Compact new or lightly used for a good amount less, go for it. The synth section may be better on the 3 but the 2 and 2EX are still fun to play with and still very good.
