C2D to 130 leslie

Post by Ruud2312 »

After browsing the forum and several websites, I've decided to just start a new topic to find the answer to my question(s)!

I've got a Nord C2D and a modified leslie 130 (added a top rotor). The 130 is an 11-pin leslie, just like Nord has an 11-pin output.

I've got 11 pin connectors and a multicore cable. I'm searching for a scheme to find out which pins must be connected to each other to make the leslie work (and change speeds using the Nord Half Moon Switch). Can anybody help me?

Many thanks in advance,

The 11Pin on the C2D should follow the Leslie standard, which you can find here http://www.captain-foldback.com/Leslie_sub/pinouts.htm (look for the "eleven pin system" section) or here http://mosweb.federalproductions.com/kn ... nout-data/ ; of course it may not provide all signals but the ones that the C2D can generate. You may start connecting just pins 1,4,(audio) and 5,6,7,8 (speed control). Of course if you have 11 cables you may just connect them all, worst case some will not be used.

Thanks maxpiano!

Will the (low) voltage from the 11-pin cable provide power for the engines of the rotors? Or should those be connected to the power outlet on the leslie itself?

Uh.... I don't think you can provide power from the 11 pins, just controls and audio... the 130 amp should have its own plug, see below picture (from hammondclub.nl)

Any picture of your 130? What cables/connectors are there on it now? Maybe you could ask for help also on Hammondclub.nl ? ;)

I'll post a picture when I get back home. I've put the amp/low rotor in a 120 cabinet with the top rotor of a Solton one, should work just fine.

Hammondclub.nl isn't really fond of Nord-related questions ;)

Then you may ask but pretending you will connect it to another brand's or an original Hammond
