Replacing the older 2-prong power supply with IEC?
I'm a big fan of IEC power supply and Nord has started using these across the board on newer products (like my NS2 EX 76). I would like to do away with the little two-pronged power supply on my older NS2 and replace it with an IEC power supply. I'm handy at home electrical projects, but have never done anything with my keyboards. I'm curious if anyone has done this or has guidance on how challenging it may be?

Re: Replacing the older 2-prong power supply with IEC?
I don't recommend doing this and have no recollection of anyone on the forum attempting it...
The Nord power connectors mount directly to their respective power supply circuit boards:
The 2-pin supply looks something like this

The 3-pin IEC looks like:
http://www.fullcompass.com/prod/501077-Nord-USA-60231
While these look similar, the power output connectors differ, so I doubt they could be swapped.
I expect you would need to de-solder the two pin from your existing supply's circuit board and install a bulkhead-mounted IEC connector. The IEC would require wired leads to connect it to the existing circuit board. The new power connector would require you to machine a suitable opening in your Nord's back panel.
None of this is impossible, but it risks degrading the safety and reliability of the keyboard.
I see no apparent benefit, so why would you want to take the risk?

Re: Replacing the older 2-prong power supply with IEC?
I agree with what you said. The main use case I'm trying to solve for is using my NS2 88 as a backup or change of pace to my NS2 EX 76. They have different actions and while I prefer the 2EX from a portability standpoint, I like the HA88 action better on my older NS2. My rig has pre-configured cabling that uses an IEC power cord, so trying to make it easy to swap in the NS2 when I need backup or a change of action.
I wanted to be able to easily use either keyboard with the IEC cord. My solution is going to be this:
