Does re-organizing samples disassociate them from programs?

Postby ResonantMind » 26 Feb 2017, 17:39

Does re-organizing samples disassociate them? ie, I have wav samples assigned to programs I've developed. I want to re-organize my programs and samples from the editor - will this result in them becoming "lost" from one another??

Thanks!

What do you mean with "re-organize"? Delete them? yes it will affect the program that uses them!

No I mean, just move them around their location order 1-100

*edit*

I've confirmed myself, that moving samples around on the Nord Wave, will break their connection to any programs that use the sample.

It seems like the relinking feature should solve this? But it doesn't seem to be an available option, it's greyed out.. and no matter what way I work the manager program, I can't seem to get it to be an available option...

On the NordStage2 relinking is available (and if I remember well, since the 2.0 version of Nord samples, the link to programs is based on the name and not anymore on the position, so reorganizing doesn't break it, but I should double check this); maybe the firmware of the Wave has not been updated to support that, but only the compatibility with the 2.0 version of .nsmp format (?)

Also, can we ask you to please have a bit of consideration for the people with small screens and reduce the size of your soundcloud signature. You already posted that track in its own thread, so there is no need to include it in every post in the forums. Thank you.

I just saw it as a feature in the signature making thing so I used it... I didn't see any size options. Just removed it.
