Using Nord samples in sample editor

This is the right place if your topic concerns different Nord Keyboards, you are not sure which one is the right one for you, etc.

Using Nord samples in sample editor

Post by kkeys »

Hi.

I need to use bass and drums or horns etc at the same time. Can the nord sample editor be used to create new instruments with both, using the Nord samples? (not new wave samples). I have an electro 5.

Thanks.

Nope, it can't. At least not by doing something like loading nsmp's into the sample editor.

The only way to achieve it, is to (re)sample the sounds and create an multisample in the editor using the resampled wav's..

This is because facilitating reverse conversion from .nsmp to .wav would effectively open the doors of this free and ever-expanding sample library to the non-Nord-owning public. No logins, no IDs, no passwords, no dongles -- it's all there for free, but you have to own a Nord to make use of it.

Bless, Pablo
