Jimmy Mack - Martha Reeves - backing vocals

Postby john_nick » 18 Oct 2016, 21:43

I'm looking for any samples I can use to cover the backing vocal "aahs" in the chorus section. I've been through all the choir samples I've seen but nothing comes near or I could alter.

If nothing available, I may have to get our singer to record some and I'd have to make samples from the recording. Having backing singers would be ideal but we are only a small band and have to improvise

Any help appreciated

If you mean the "aahs" starting at 0:39, I would just use some flavor of B3 organ harmony for those sustained notes. You've got a Stage, so if you're playing an acoustic piano part, you can do the split.

Thanks for the reply.

That was the setup I used when we tried song at rehearsal. The band were happy with the B3 harmony, I was just trying to see if I could improve on it in any way.

Cheers
