Nord spare parts (such as knobs)

This is the right place if your topic concerns different Nord Keyboards, you are not sure which one is the right one for you, etc.

Nord spare parts (such as knobs)

Post by themixtape »

Well, I might be picking up a used Electro 5. It is missing the "Split" knob (dead center of keyboard).

Any way to get spare knobs from Clavia?

I'm not entirely sure about my purchase.... but I'm taking the chance... the seller said it's in great shape, just missing that knob.

Thanks!

hi....I lost a knob from my Electro 5 (I don't know how since they are on there pretty tight...I'm thinking someone needed one and one of mine disappeared while on break one night). Anyway, I found the exact replacement knob from this website. https://syntaur.com/Items/1987.html
Check it out.

Ditto - I lost one knob on my Nord NE5D to the lower right of center near the bottom (I'm not near the Nord). I was shocked! Packed up after a gig and Whoop - it was GONE!

The knobs seem a bit over-priced. Compared to my (sold) NE4_sw73 and my NE4D where the knobs (were)/are TIGHT ... I was surprised how many of the NE5D knobs slip off (I checked every one of them) so easily! At least for me, I took an old (a little high) PC speaker knob off and put it on for now. Always something. Could be a LOT worse!

I'd like a whole extra set now - but at ~ approx. $6 each - well, and what 15-16 knobs, that's a bit expensive - let alone shipping and handling - lol. Basically $100 a set - if they send all the right knobs (for) all the right places.

I recommend to ask your local Nord dealer for the price of the knobs (or use the Nord website to find out the closest dealer to your country) - I once needed a new pitch stick and the dealer was able to get it for about 2/3 of the price compared to the Syntaur website mentioned in the second post.

Or, if you don't care about the original looks so much, check your local DIY/electronics store for knobs.

I had to order a couple replacement knobs for my NE5D and NLA1. The knob with the white line is part# 50404. If you need the other knob with no white line the part# is 50405. After losing a couple knobs (no idea how) I put a small dab of silicone sealant under all my knobs and put them back on. Haven't lost one since.

Has anyone found a source of these (#50404) in the UK? Or anything similar?
They are still available in the US from Syntaur, but all gets v expensive with postage to UK...
