Real Leslie with Electro 5D
I'm interested in purchasing a 5D-73, but I have a question regarding assignable outputs. I believe the 5D has only has L&R plus a headphone jack. I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion as to how I could hook up my Leslie cabinet (actually a Motion Sound) but keep organ sound away from direct output and piano sounds away from the Leslie?

The only thing I can see if if you assign left output to Lower and right output to upper (or visa versa) and send only the organ part (whichever you assign) through your leslie (motion sound), it should work. Then the other output straight to your non-leslie amp.

I suggest you take a look at the manual and fully understand capabilities before buying.

I did extensive research before deciding I wanted a NS2 EX instead factoring required functionality and budget. On the Nord site they seem to compare like models (ie Electro 4 vs Electro 5) but I have never seen side to side comparison of different models (ie Electro 6 vs Stage).

You may also want to try to find a way to give a listen to the E5's built in Leslie sim, as many players with Vents etc. find themselves choosing to leave them at home for convenience, being happy with what the E5 can do on its own. It's one of the selling points of the board, and may (or may not, tastes vary), be good enough to satisfy you.
