Re: Which studio monitors for my nord?
I use a pair of Presonus Eris E8s with my NS2, and it sounds gorgeous through them. They're on stands so their base is the same level as the top of the Nord. Would be better if they were slightly higher, but I'll fix that one day. Lovely monitors.

I have HS5 myself, lacking a litle bass - but I've read that HS8 is a little too much- so go for 7
Got myself a pair of Yamaha HS7 yesterday. They are excellent monitors for my Nord, highly recomended!

Re: Which studio monitors for my nord?
He's like me, on both side of the screen and for mixing he has a good pair of monitor but when he's turning himself to the left, in front of his Nord, he s just receiving the sound from his right. Not good for playing "live at home". Then I bought a pair of Eris 5 that are on both side of my stage, pointing towards me ....
My main mixing mo it or are Geneles 8040 A (2200$ ? A pair....), then I had just enough to by a 300$ pair....but that works prefectly......

Re: Which studio monitors for my nord?
Hi,
HS7 are really great. But they need a few hours before giving you what they really have, the bass and details of the sound.
Don't forget that you will be near them ... too big can be ... well ... too big !
Cheers

Re: Which studio monitors for my nord?
I use the Yamaha HS80m: Very clear Sound, but: Mids and bass are missing for a realistic full piano sound. So i use in the center of the two HS80m one Yamaha DXR10 (lying on the floor, additional to the HS80m, working mono on a seperate line to adjust the level seperatly). Sounds great! This combination for me ist the ideal monitoring at home (not for mixing, but just for playing the piano).

Re: Which studio monitors for my nord?
Hello, Finding the right monitor is tough. The monitor that sounds great in the store can be disappointing at home. My ongoing trial and error period ended with JBL LSR305. Great in the store, even better at home and small gigs. For my needs, the size and sound with flat EQ is perfect.

Re: Which studio monitors for my nord?
I’m reviving this thread because there are a number of good alternatives mentioned, but I’ve just picked up a pair of the JBL 305p MKII monitors and am really impressed with the clarity, detail, and tight bass reproduction, especially on pianos.
The organ and synth engines sound great too, but what stood out to me is being able to hear the true piano samples with no EQ at all. I am getting very good sound from the Westone AM Pro 30 IEMs, but the JBLs are a significant upgrade in sound quality.
For $298 MAP per pair, you can’t go wrong with starting here if you’re looking for monitors.
