Guitar Pedals on Keyboards

Post by mojotele65 »

Has anyone come up with a good way to organize the effects pedals you are using with your keyboards and synths. I thought of Velcro, but I really don't want to put that on my pretty red machine.

Three suggestions...

1. A guitar pedalboard. You can make one with 1 x 4 boards (and some nice wood stain). Making one yourself will be cheap and you can make to whatever custom size you need. I attached an image of a small one I made not to long ago.

2. If you have 19" equipment racks, them rack shelves might be a good option.

3. A 2 tier keyboard stand. Place a board across the second tier, and place your pedals on the board.

Hope one of these ideas spawn an idea that works for you. Good Luck!

Cheers,

Here's mine I built (floor mount)

1/4" or 3/8" plywood, velcro, handles from the hardware store and spare black paint I had lying around. I put some non-slip strips on the bottom too. I can carry it sideways or even upside down.

Cool ideas, I was hoping to find something I could use to keep the pedals at hand level for tweaking for big washes and crazy delay stuff. We play a lot psychedelic stuff, early Pink Floyd, 13 Floor Elevators, The Black Angels and originals,

Try one of those cheap black music stands - $20 - $30 and set it up horizontally, I've seen people do this for a few pedals.

Exactly, I’ve done that some times.
Beware the too cheap ones : they won’t carry too much. An alternative is a laptop stand on tripod though. I used to use one as a stand for my MachineDrum and its flight case.

I use a custom-cut piece of plexiglass and velcro. With self stick rubber feet on the bottom:

How about a percussion table? Something like this... https://m.thomann.de/se/stagg_pct500.htm

If it's a Nord lead, you have a lot of room to do that
1) put just velcro on 1/3 of the pedal, at the top, but don't cut it straight, just leave 4 cm of velcro (the soft side...) out of the pedal, don't remove the sticky plastic on it....photos 1, 2 and 3.
2) Stick just 2cm of velcro the hook part at the back of the Lead, where it won't be visible, not on the red top panel. photo 4
3) put the pedal on the red top panel, the soft part of the velcro won't damage the panel and ply the rest of the velcro over the right angle at the back of the Lead....then done photo 5 and 6
see pictures
just velcro, soft one, half of the pedal

Just velcro, hook, on the back of the Nord Lead<br />yu can see the plastic that I haven't removed from the one that is under the pedals
