My first Nord, help!

Post by callumwitts »

Hello, I'm in the process of choosing a Nord product and would like to know the difference between the following products?
Nord Stage 2 SW73
Nord Stage 2 EX Compact

Also, online I have found the following two products with a big price difference and what to ensure they are the same product.

http://www.gear4music.com/Keyboards-and ... G#full-des

Thanks

Hi,
The "Ex" doubles piano memory with 1 Gb.
It also brings the CD2's organ engine with Leslie 122 emulation and pipe organ.
Factory sound bank is improved too.

Just to note: Those are the only differences.

:-) slight correction analogika: one of the colors in the front panel graphix scheme is a different shade :-)

note also that while there are new v2 samples included in the factory bank, those same sounds are also available to the "non-EX" NS2 (and will be to all other sample-capable Nord instruments)

bless,

This is not correct. The organ engine is identical between the models, it is not updated to the latest C2D level.

Valpurgis' correction is correct. Additionally, the NS2EX brings over ONE of the 122s found on the C2D and family, not both. I'd forgotten about the pipes, though. That alone could be my main reason for moving from NS2 to NS2EX...
