change patch

Hi guys,
i am pretty new in the world of hardware synths so it would be nice if somebody could explain me somthing regarding Midi (i guess), i have a Nord2X. Why is it that i sometimes can change a patch and sometimes not - does this stick together with what Midi channel i have selected? Would be awsome if somebody could clarify that for me.

From where/what (NL2X panel or DAW or ...) are you trying to change patch?

thanks very much for the reply but i think i know what was the mistake, i hadn`t selected the midi-track in my DAW :roll:
