Hello,

This is probably a rookie question but I would appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this.

The C2 manual states "The left and right line level outputs from the Nord C2 are unbalanced" There is no further explantation in the manual and I'm not sure what this means. I'm currently using a Roland KC 100 amp with 4 channels. Should I run two separate cables from the right and left 1/4" cable output to two different channels on the amp? What are the benefits of this vs. just using one channel?

No there is no point in running 2 cables to the same mono amp. Either use the Left or Right and use as that or press the Mono button.
Some people prefer not using the Mono button to avoid some degree of phase cancellation at the expense of a bit more prominence of one of the ends of the keyboard (depending on which output you use).
You need to try to see what you prefer.

As I understand it, the signal is exactly the same from both Left and right, until the Leslie Sim is brought into play. The Leslie Sim on the Nord sounds much better through a stereo set-up.

It's just another organ topic that is a matter of opinion but I have had good luck running the headphone output from the c2 into a mono amplifier with an unbalanced cable. Try it out. Try out a single left See what you like

Using the headphone output will give just the left channel anyway if you use a TS/TS lead, or not much at all if you use a TRS/TRS lead. You could use a stereo to mono lead but that would ideally have resistors in it to make it work properly. Given the amp is mono the best plan is probably to use either left or right as Mr G advises, above. One will suit better depending on your taste and circumstances so try both and choose.

Good point tacitus. You are right on there. I investigated a bit more and as far as I can tell it is the exact same as left output. Choose your poison or go stereo! It's a shame to put something like a c2 through a mono amp. It sounds so nice in stereo

Oh yeah, stereo is the ultimate. I'm fortunate to have 2 powered speakers (QSC K12's) . And when the Les Sim is set to either chorale or tremelo - wowy, wow, wow! It's as phat a killer B3 sound as you'll want. I've got it all set up in the same room as my B3 & 122 Les. Honestly have the same amount of love for both. Motion Sound makes a nice stereo amp with angled speaker placement which should give some real nice separation affect.

And I noticed the other day that retailers like Sweetwater and Zz-sounds have Motion Sound products in stock again. They say they are in stock and ready for delivery.
