Is the Wave a Multitimbral instrument ?

Post by mellotron »

Hi to everyone! I just bought a second hand Nordwave and did not bother to ask if it was multi timbral, as i assumed that most (if not all) modern synths were able to play SIMULTANEOUSLY different programs on different midi channels (16 in most cases).
But I have seen nothing of this kind documented in the manual?
Does this mean that I can not have my daw trigger my Nord wave via midi to play say 6 or 7 programs simultaneously ?
Or is there a way to do it that I have overlooked ?
If so, could anyone please help me out and be specific on how to configure the Nordwave to receive data on midi channels 2,3,4,5,6,etc and play them back SIMULTANEOUSLY. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Salut Mellotron, et bienvenue.

The NordWave can sing a program per slot. If Iremember correct, it has two of them.

Voilà :)

bi-timbral only? .. I must say it is quite a disapointement for me, but ok I guess i'll have to convert each midi track into audio,
which isnt very practical while you are in the phase of composing, and need to make changes to each track frequently..

Anyway, Thank you to both of you for your quick replies.
