C2/C2D Action

Post by keysmcgee »

I've got an NE3 (and had an NE2 before that). While i really enjoy the Electro as a mulit-purpose board, i find that i don't care for the action for organ-centric playing. The action is a good compromise for organ/EP/Clav, but its not like playing on a Hammond.

I've not had the opportunity to play a C-series organ. Is the action more like what i would find on a Hammond?

No, it is different, and also, the action on my C2 seems to have loosened up as its played, so it's changed a bit (not for the worse) Also, the action on vintage Hammonds can vary immensely, from age, condition of felts, combs, key-contacts. springs
I can't remember anybody ever complaining about the Nord organ keys, or saying they were unplayable.
If you're anywhere near Seattle, I'd be more than happy to have you try mine.
