"Sitting on a stool,I have to actually hold my left leg up to do that."
I use an adjustable-height drummer's "throne", but I have the short spinet-style pedals (even tho there's 20 of 'em) if you have the Nord 27 pedals, you'll need a real organ bench which spans the pedals. On that type of pedal board, a good 2/3 of the pedals are under you, not in front of you. Scrounge up an a-100 bench, maybe. But the advantages of the full console style pedals will be all yours when you get situated right. Again, even tho the Nord organ and pedals are a very different thing from a B-3, when it's all put together, the physical layout, the position of the keys, pedals, expression pedal, can be almost exactly the same as a console (B-3, A-100) Hammond, and that's a layout which has proven itself for decades. Flmc's description of the position is perfect.
I am packing up my rig right now, for a jam session this evening.
