Hello and first thanks for keeping this community a valuable source of infos and inspiration.

I'm pulling out my hair atm :
For gig purposes i would need to set up an AXIOM 49 controller which would play let's say a synth bass sound coming from the NP5 library wgile keeping the NP5 itself full piano or maybe a split with strings etc...
I have 1 midi cable which is hooked up this way : NP5 : IN
AXIOM : OUT
I set up global channel to 1 on each KB and tried to assign controls to no avail Any which way i fiddle with them it doesn't work
Do i have to get a 2nd midi cable ?

Hello Vince and welcome to NUF.

Unfortunately NP5 does not allow to assign just a section to an external keyboard (as instead possible on Nord Electro 5/6 and Nord Stage family), so bottom line what you want to do is not possible on NP5.
