Speakers

Hello, I am totally new to the Nord Grand and have the most basic question. Does it require external speakers?? I made the assumption I could just turn it on and play…

Hi-

You can turn it on and play with headphones. There are no built in speakers in the Nord Grand. There are a huge number of posts and topics on amplification of Nord instruments. Here is a very comprehensive one:

You do. If you use headphones.

But it doesn't have speakers built-in. So you may need some - either from Nord or some other near field monitor if you just want yourself to hear your playing. If it's meant for stage use, you may need a decent monitor box (or a pair). See the amplification FAQ in the General Topics sub forum.

You will probably get a triple pedal along with your Grand, but no music rest, I think. This is another thing you may need. A keyboard stand. A dust cover. That should be it.

Congrats. Nord speakers are for close field monitoring.
