You can "know" the value of the parameter in the knob by pressing COPY/MORPH LOCK on the Nord Lead 4R and then just move the know to an approximate position. Then release the COPY/MORPH LOCK button and you can do a soft move.

I had A1 in 2017 and sold it. Now I have Lead 4 and this issue just so annoying for me, even worse than the lack of aftertouch
The only reason I want to sell my Nord, but I don't see any replacement for it. Wave 2 - definetely not.
I know Clavia will never solve this problem, so all I can do is wait for Lead 5...
