I'm on a journey looking for a nord for touring with. I just bought a Nord Piano 5 and when I got it home, the output on both the headphone jack and the main outs is wildly loud. With both the patch and main volume just barely turned on, like maybe 10% each, it's doable with headphones or out to a speaker but if i turn it up more than that or accidentally switch to a preset the headphones immediately distort and it's like, dangerously loud. I tried two different sets of headphones, two different sets of patch cables to to different channels on a mixer and it's all the same - i also tried a factory restore from nord sound manager but to no avail. It sounds great but I have to keep the volume barely turned on in order for it to be not insanely loud / distorting.
This seems weird because on the Nord Grand I originally tried and on friend's stages and electros I remember usually having the main outs at like 75% and up to have a normal volume.
Is there something I'm missing here?
I'll definitely go to Nord itself next as maybe it's a hardware issue but wondered if there was something I'm missing.
Thanks.

Re: Nord Piano 5 volume out / impedance
Also I searched relevant terms and didn't find any posts about it - most people seem more concerned that nords are a little quiet to a lot of headphones / outs.

Re: Nord Piano 5 volume out / impedance
Which particular headphones do you use (especially with which impedance)?
Nord Piano 5 + Nord Piano Monitors, Nord Stage 4 Compact + other stuff
