NLA1 as a MIDI controller

Post by criss »

Hi,
I have a problem when I use the NLA1 as a MIDI controller for an external module or rompler. I can only change the Programs (with the A1 PROG Knob) until the #50 value, so I have no access to the patches 51-99.
It is possible to setup the NLA1 to send the Program Change over #50? In the manual's tables the Program Change is 0-98.
Thank you very much,
cristian

There are only 50 programs per bank. You need to switch banks to access the next 50.

0-98 is clearly a typo, there's no way for the synth to send Program Change messages for programs it doesn't have internally.

They make the same typo on page 31, where they say "Dump Program Bank makes a MIDI System Exclusive transmission of all the parameters, for all of the 99 Programs or Performances in the current Bank. Press Execute to begin the transmission." My assumption is that they originally designed it to have 99 programs per bank, and ended up choosing a layout with more banks of 50 than fewer of 99.
