Would this be by design, of a bug?
Master clock RM is possible on synth and organ, but not on the piano's...

Assigning the master clock to the RM rate should work with the piano if it works for the synth and organ. I would suggest reporting it to Nord Support, and going to my post List of Known Issues/Bugs to follow the guidance there and enter your info in the Google sheet including when you reported it to Clavia (Nord) and link to this discussion in case more comments are added. Thanks!

The Master Clock is really not that meaningful for Ring Modulation so that ability will not be present at all.

If the RM rate can be linked to the Master Clock for the synth and organ, I'd assume it's a bug that it can't also be assigned to the piano. Can you try it?

It does not work, as it is not supposed. The Master Clock is really not that meaningful for Ring Modulation. Nord will not change this... for real.

The OP Says that it works when applying RM to synth or organ, just not on piano. So it seems it is supported...

No no, misinterpreted. RM works on pianos, but not when using master clock..

On the NS3, syncing the master clock to the RM rate isn't possible for any engine selected, however if the capability is implemented on the NS4 for the organ and synth, it doesn't make sense it can't also be applied for the piano, so I would agree it's a bug.
