Hi Nord Wave Users,
I have a Wave 2 and am hooking up in my small studio to my audio interface. Is it preferable to use the L/R output jacks vs. the stereo headphone jack (would be broken out to L/R into the interface)? Being that all connections out of the Wave 2 are unbalanced, I am unsure if there would be a difference in the quality of the audio signal.
Second question: Is the external 3.5mm stereo input a reliable source for high quality audio? I'm considering running an external synth but not sure if routing through the Wave 2's external in would result in perceivable poorer audio quality vs. routing directly to the audio interface.
Again - my studio is small and I'm not running long cables. My cables are coiled and running lengths of 6-10 ft max (my keyboard is on wheels ).
Thanks!

Re: Quality of Audio Connections
1. The L/R outs are designed to be routed to the interface, mixer, etc. Being unbalanced has not effect on the sound quality. The headphone jack is designed for headphones. Get some quality cables and run them to your interface.
2. Again, if you have inputs in your audio interface, use them for the external synth rather than the 3.5mm input connection.

Re: Quality of Audio Connections
The cross talk between channels is likely better out of the discrete left right outputs but that is the main issue I can think of and it is likely not a deal killer.

Re: Quality of Audio Connections
From a purely practical standpoint, you should be fine either way. Other factors [room EM interference, gain staging, dodgy cables, etc.] are more likely to be an issue.
I think I have gear issues ....
