Re: Stage 4 Owners - Any impression?
I own an 1959 B3 w/122 and a NS3 Compact with a Neo Vent II and I don't miss the 1' drawbar cancel as I can get the same effect by switching from panel A to B with the same settings with the 1' drawbar in or out. I also like having the option of having the 1' drawbar with percussion on for full stops out or 80008888 squabble settings which it appears you can also do on the NS4.

Is anyone else have the issue that the notes play twice or "double tap" (with milliseconds between them) ? It feels like it happens randomly and only when I use the piano sound.

Got my NS4 88 today and played for an hour or so. I have not noticed anything like double notes. Do you own a Hammer Action model or a Compact?piano1 wrote:Is anyone else have the issue that the notes play twice or "double tap" (with milliseconds between them) ? As a former Wave 2 owner who considers getting the stage 4 because of the Wave 2 engine - i would say some things are missing. Not all of then that crucial, but still:anotherscott wrote:Wave sounds that you were hoping the NS4 would have, that it does not?
1. ADSR envelopes vs ADR envelopes matter if you want more precise sound sculpting.
2. Dedicated envelope knobs (not endless encoders) for simultaneous live tweaking without menu diving
3. "Transient" addition for the attack portion of the amp envelope which gave you more punch if you wanted to.
4. Obviously - the 4th layer
But again, this is just a synth section on the stage 4 - as opposed to a full dedicated synth

Re: Stage 4 Owners - Any impression?
Well is it just me or NS4 is truly overpriced?
88 model
US Price is $5,699 (plus taxes) at Sweetwater
UK Price is £4,449.00 at Andertons (currrently 3 in stock)
Germany - Thomann 4.899 €
I am curious about impressions but in these crazy times we live in I think it is a TOO MUCH money for a board. BTW the sustain pedal is not included with the 88 model can someone verify that? That would be disgusting not to include the pedal after paying that price....

Re: Stage 4 Owners - Any impression?
If you cannot afford it it is "overpriced", if you can afford it instead it is "exclusive"... market is market, inflation is inflation (and not just for keyboards), but luckily there's plenty of other options to make good music (Nord and non-Nord, new or used) and the way to "vote" for a product and its price is to buy it or not: if overpriced it will stay on the shelves and price will necessarily be decreased at some point in time, if not... they were right to price it like that.Mrniceguy76 wrote:Well is it just me or NS4 is truly overpriced?
