Hiya,
I've just bought a second hand Nord Stage 76 today,
The keys used predominantly with the left hand are very noisy, its seems they have had a lot of use,
It's only happening in around 5 or six of the keys in the octave below middle c,
I think the cushioning has worn away when the keys return back to level after been played,
It's quite loud and very annoying so I was wondering if theres anything I could try and repair/ replace myself if opened up the keyboard.
Many thanks for any help, regards Bren

Re: Worn keys making loud noise on Nord Stage revision B
This week I opened my Stage (Classic) Rev.B to fix a couple of noisy keys
All is described here: http://www.norduserforum.com/nord-stage ... t2770.html
Can't judge if it's the same problem, but you will have to look underneath the keys because that's where all the action takes place,
it is quite an operation, not difficult, but just lots of screws, and you have to be carefull with the boards
perhaps add some (silicone) lube here and there on the moving parts, springs
Bests,
Albert

Re: Worn keys making loud noise on Nord Stage revision B
Hi, I fixed it just now. Let's hope it lasts though because I didn't do much. I opened her up and could see there was no felt cushioning so It is the case that was
Misaligned.
So when putting her back together I left all screws quite loose then tightened a few at a time making sure it was located properly above the tops of the keys.
Hopefully this will last for good. If not then it doesn't take long to adjust it again.
Your thread about removal of the cover helped a lot.
I must say in step one about the screws on the underside in the ridge.
I did get it right first time but others may not.
There's a lot of screws in the sunken section. It's just the three smaller screws that need removing. Many thanks. Bren

ah, yes, the felt - I've heard that before!
ok, nice!
Albert
- and I perhaps should edit the thread then, my 88 has only 3 screws in the 'sunken bit' (ridge, or sunken bit - matter of perspective, sunken perhaps more apropriate)
